Proenza Schouler is a brand that only appeared on my radar this year but I’m going to be forever grateful that they did because I will tell you, I am a girl obsessed.
My obsession began when I picked up their Arizona fragrance at the start of the summer. I’d seen it doing the rounds on social media thanks to their pretty sweet influencer trip to (you’ve guessed it) Arizona and stopped to give it a sniff in my local Debenhams. Predictably I fell straight in love and it’s now a go-to summer fragrance for me – influencer marketing done right!
Later in the summer, I saw Megan Ellaby rocking the most incredible pair of canvas trainers on Instagram. I asked her where they were from and when she said Proenza Schouler I immediately knew I had to look them up on Net-a-Porter. I hesitated at buying them at full price but kept my eyes on them for a few months longer just in case – so you can imagine my delight when they were in the sale for just over £200! My size had sold out but I snapped up the next size up immediately and they’re actually not a terrible fit. I usually have to size way down in Italian sizing to a 3 but these are a 5 and they feel fine on my feet. Admittedly once they stretch a little more I will probably have to grab an insole but they’re so comfortable I really don’t regret my decision to buy a size up. I actually filmed an unboxing video when I first got them which you can watch here.
Admittedly they’re not going to be a pair of shoes I can get much more wear out of this year as I don’t think they’ll hold up well in the rainy winter weather, but you can bet your ass I’m going to have them on my feet for as long as is physically possible before I have to put them away for spring!
