THE LAST DAYS OF AUGUST

uk fashion blogger lucy love It’s funny, I left school so long ago now and yet the end of August always hits me with the same back to school feeling. While 10 or 15 years ago I’d be frantically trying to complete the homework I’d inevitably left until the last minute and reflecting on a summer spent with friends while planning my stationery theme for the year and stocking up on pens and notebooks, nowadays I just get an overwhelming feeling of: this is it, this is your time for a new start.

I love this fresh start feeling. The promise of a new season, re-discovering old favourites in my wardrobe, pumpkin spiced lattes and everything taking on that beautiful red-gold hue. The falling leaves, needing coats and boots again, the promise of the holidays in the air and the anticipation of beginning my Christmas shopping.

I’m such a winter girl at heart and I’m very ready to be living my best life in Autumn fashion over the coming months. I’m going to be slowly transitioning to my A/W transitional content over the coming days and weeks so I really hope you guys enjoy seeing what I’m going to be wearing and doing over the coming months. If there’s anything in particular that you’d like to see, make sure you comment and let me know!

This outfit is the perfect example of easy transitional dressing – it was sunny outside but wasn’t the warmest of days so I combined my favourite linen shirt I picked up earlier in the year in the ASOS sale and my failsafe Topshop straight leg jeans for a casual day-around-town look. Paired with my Baleciaga Triple S trainers and Burberry Camberley bag for the luxury vibe and my favourite gold jewellery I was 100% feeling myself and I think it shows.
