Ok firstly lets just acknowledge the elephant in the room, the new look LJLV! You guys I’m so happy I finally took the plunge and took my site self-hosted. I’ve been meaning to do it for months but because it isn’t the cheapest thing in the world I kept putting it off and putting it off until eventually I realised I really couldn’t delay the inevitable any longer.

I’m so pleased with the re-design, and it’s honestly made me fall head over heels for my blog again. I used Pipdig for the migration process from Blogger over to WordPress and I couldn’t recommend them more – the whole thing was totally seamless and the team have been on hand to help me out with anything I’ve been struggling with ever since. There are still a few final tweaks I’d like to make to the layout but for the most part I’m finally happy with how my blog is looking and for that, I’m very grateful!

Originally I had planned a slightly different post for today, but when I came to write up my experiences at the Blogosphere Magazine ‘Blogosphere Lounge’ event last month I realised that I had in fact forgotten to take any pictures of the event itself. Luckily I did manage to vlog the whole thing so make sure you take a look at the video and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel while you’re there.

Instead of focusing on the event in this post, I figured we could talk about the outfit instead and you guys, what an outfit! I honestly felt a million dollars wearing this and that isn’t something that I say all that often. I stumbled across this shirt/hoodie [shoodie?!] combination in Zara a few days before and just knew that it had to be mine. I’m loving the new direction my style has taken over the past six months or so and feel more comfortable than ever in both my own skin and my own wardrobe, however there will always be a part of me that loves the sports-luxe look (a part of me that will definitely take over somewhat once the warmer weather arrives) so this top was a nod to both Lucys.

The all over check felt very Burberry, and as the event coincided with a positively balmy few days in London the shirt was actually warm enough to wear without a jacket over the top. I did love the addition of the hoodie section too to give it a bit of ‘edge’, and the slogan on the front gave me all the Supreme vibes.

I decided to pair it with my current favourite trousers of the moment from Stradivarius, and the boots that very nearly gave me a heart attack from the stress of trying to get hold of them from Topshop. I don’t actually know if they’re available anymore but their khaki twin has just gone on sale so…click here. You’re welcome.

I feel super out of practice writing blog posts for some reason. Does it show?
