Love it or hate it you just can't escape it at this time of year - Valentines is just around the corner, and with it comes the minefield of "what the heck am I going to wear this year?!"

I'm always a little on the fence when it comes to Valentines Day. On the one hand, whether I'm single or in a relationship, I do think it's cute to spend a day celebrating love however on the flip-side I cannot deny that it can be a bit depressing especially if you're watching loved up couples staring lovingly into each other's eyes while you're planning a very romantic date with your sofa and a tub of Ben and Jerry's.

I'm not sure what I'm going to be doing this Valentines Day, but one thing is for sure - I have my wardrobe prepared thanks to the ever so generous folk at Pretty Little Thing who asked me to pick out my favourite items from their Valentines edit! I decided to show you how I'd style each piece for different Valentines occasions to give you a bit of inspiration for whatever you may have planned - whether you're planning a Galentines extravaganza with your besties, a date night with your partner or a cheeky night in I have you covered!

Romantic Date Night

There's nothing I like more than looking super sophisticated for date night. I love dressing up smart, and therefore for me the ultimate date night outfit has to be the little black dress. This one* screams badass girl boss with it's tuxedo detailing and super sexy shape - I love the exaggerated shoulders and double breasted buttons down the front. I teamed it with some strappy black heels* to add a little height and accessorised with my favourite jewellery pieces including my beautiful Thomas Sabo necklace that I got for Christmas.

Galentines Celebration

Heading out with your besties? I've got you covered! This burgundy satin number* ticks all the boxes - sexy and sophisticated? Check! Super flattering? Check! I love the super low neckline and the fact that it's long sleeved which makes it that bit more weather appropriate for this time of year. Again I accessorised with black heels* and my favourite jewellery - with this dress, having a long necklace works really well to draw attention to that super sexy neckline.

A Valentines Night In

Whether on your own or with someone special, I have just the thing to help you live your best life this Valentines! This satin teddy* makes me feel super boujee and kinda reminds me of something Blair Waldorf would wear so of course I like to swan round my room pretending I'm in some swanky Upper East Side apartment living my best life.

Did you like what I picked out? Which were your favourite items? What will you be doing for Valentines Day? Let me know in the comments!

  1. You look AMAZING modelling all three of those very pretty Valentine's Day outfits - I really LOVE all three looks!!!!!! You really rock that black puff shouldered double breasted button up blazer dress from PrettyLittleThing. The burgundy twist-front Katalea shirt-dress from PrettyLittleThing looks very comfortable and silky-soft. I love the delicate scalloped lace trim of the PrettyLittleThing satin teddy. You look gorgeous showcasing it.
Sadly, I am not in a relationship and will no doubt split my Valentine's Day time betweet the internet and having a romantic date with my recliner, some munchies and NetFlix assuming I fail to come up with a Valentine's day blog post (again).
Your 3 Valentine's Day OOTD lookbook is beautiful!

    1. Thank you so much for such a lovely comment! There's nothing wrong with a Netflix date on Valentines - I'm pretty sure I'll be doing the same myself :) xo
