HOLD ON

UK blogger Lucy Love
Yes I have named this blog post after the song by Wilson Phillips because you guys I am having a moment with it and I think it's going to be my anthem for the rest of 2018. Plus it reminds me so much of Bridesmaids and that is one of my all time favourite feel good flicks so...

Not only does the title embody the song I've actually listened to three times on loop whilst attempting to write this intro (without breaking for lip synching and home choreographed dance routines) it also embodies my current mindset towards the weather aka I'm not ready to stop wearing t-shirts yet despite the fact that I'm also having a jumper moment right now, and therefore I need the milder temperatures to hold on for one more day...

The babes at Miss Selfridge let me choose some pieces for my Autumn/Winter wardrobe the other day (see what I picked in my latest video!) and this dreamy green plaid jumpsuit was one of the items I couldn't resist adding to my collection. I find green such a perfect colour for this time of year, not only is it kinda the perfect muted colour for those who, like myself, shy away from colour in their wardrobe but it's also super festive. This jumpsuit is definitely one I'll be wearing well into the Christmas period - imagine it with some sort of glittery layering piece underneath and a pair of statement boots and you're all set!

I decided to keep the layering fairly simple for a Saturday morning in Leeds, so teamed it with a white t-shirt underneath. Now ordinarily I'd go for a plain t-shirt only I realised while selecting my outfit that I don't actually possess any plain t-shirts so a cheeky slogan tee it had to be. You can't really see the text underneath the jumpsuit, just the occasional bit of lettering making a bit for freedom, so I figured it works well enough but if you can get your hands on a plain one I'd highly recommend.

Finally, I threw on my first pair of chunky trainers from earlier in the year that I picked up from Topshop. I was so convinced these would sell out and be lost to me forever that I rushed to get my hands on a pair and they're still available now - no regrets though, these babies have barely left my feet since I bought them and I think I'd be actually lost without them at this stage.
