The whole time whilst thinking of this blog post I’ve had Ozzy & Kelly Osborne’ song about going through changes stuck in my head and if that isn’t the ultimate throwback I don’t know what is…

It’s funny because I’ve not really written a proper blog post for weeks and opening Blogger to write this felt so intimidating and slightly alien, but in reality it’s actually a little like riding a bike in that it’s flowing a lot easier than I thought it would – albeit potentially a little clunky and awkward in places.

Before I go into the changes that are afoot for this blog this year, I thought I’d touch a little on why I’ve been away for so long. Anyone who has followed me on Instagram or Youtube will probably have seen me mention in passing little bits here and there but I’ve not yet addressed the crux of the matter anywhere. I’m filming a big life update video over the next few days so that will properly explain everything, but in essence I have left London for the time being and have moved back in with my parents. I’m going to explain a little more about my reasons for doing this in another post coming next week so bare with me on that one, but I guess it does go some way to at least explaining the very obvious change of scenery in my photos and the fact that I never seem to have internet connection anymore.

The move back home has also coincided with the break down of my relationship and while it was my decision it has still been a huge struggle. I wouldn’t say I’m ok, but I am coping and that’s the last I’m going to say on the matter here aside from to say that Joe and I are still friends and always will be.

Now, onto the bit you probably are most interested in anyway based upon the subject of this post: the changes coming to this blog this year.

Firstly, I want to change up my blog design a little bit. Nothing too major but I’ve had my eye on one from Pipdig for a while and it’s been about a year and a half since I last had a design refresh on here so I thought it was probably about time to dust off the cobwebs and make this space look pretty again.

I’m also wanting to branch out a little with the topics I cover. I’ve done a few polls on Instagram and Twitter recently and fairly unanimously people have voted for me to include more lifestyle and beauty elements in my content, and I have listened! I have a bit of a backlog of photos that I’m going to work through over the next few weeks but keep an eye out for some more diverse content coming your way soon. This will still be first and foremost a fashion blog, but I personally love reading such a broad range of posts and this is something I’m very excited to be bringing to this little space as well.

As with any transitional period in my life, I have found myself recently thinking more about my style and how it is maturing along with me. I will always have the sporty, alternative side to the way I dress and this is something I want to always embrace however I’m such a huge fan of luxury fashion and beauty, and I really love classic silhouettes and tailoring so therefore I’m going to place a renewed effort on amalgamating the two to make this space a true representation of me as a person, rather than a representation of a person I think you guys would want me to be. If that makes sense?

I do hope you stick with me through all this experimenting – just thinking of the new content I want to create has made me feel inspired and motivated again and I think that alone speaks volumes about the decisions I’m making. Everything had just been feeling a little stale recently and I’m hoping this shake up for both my blog and my personal life is going to give me the 2018 that I have truly dreamed of.

Until next time, peace out xo

Hope you’re doing ok and your mental health isn’t suffering too much. Loving the plans you have for the blog – I personally love reading varied blogs where you never know what the next post will be about xx

Ahh babe so did I, it bloody sucks but I guess life likes to throw the odd curveball to keep us on our toes! Aww thank you lovely, I've been working super hard on them recently so I'm excited to (hopefully) carry on creating better content in the coming weeks! I'm ok, things haven't been great and there have been some truly terrible MH days but on the whole I think being at home again is better for me at the moment and is going to give me the opportunity to properly sort myself out which is what I ultimately need to do the most! Yay I'm so excited that you're on board for the blog changes, I just can't wait to make them happen now! XO
