POSITIVITY, NEGATIVITY AND FINDING THE PERFECT SLOGAN TOP

UK Fashion Blogger Lucy Love

Oh man I wish I could say I had no bad days.

I don't have it bad though - I mean take tonight (Tuesday) for example: I'm sat on the sofa having just eaten most of a tub of Ben and Jerry's (phish food in case you were wondering) watching repeats of Love Island on Netflix having just enjoyed dinner with Joe after working from home all day. I mean as Tuesdays go that really isn't shabby at all.

While the idea of having no bad days ever is pretty unrealistic, I'm currently taking steps in my personal life to try and decrease the number of bad days I do have. I'm one of those annoying people that can drop into negativity quite easily, and it only takes one bad thing to happen before I'm  spiralling down into that 'everything is shit' mindset and feeling pretty crappy about myself.

I wrote recently about needing to embrace a more positive mindset and I hate to say that I've failed so far but sometimes you're just carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders and it takes more than one good day out creating fun things to bring you out of your slump. That said, when I went out to shoot with the babe that is Sydnie Kelly recently, I did attempt to draw out the demons with another positive slogan tee.

At this stage, my collection of slogan paraphernalia is pretty vast and sometimes some absolute gems get lost at the bottom of my wardrobe. This top is one such gem - I bought it from Zara last summer and wore it to death for a few months before putting it away when the cold weather arrived and promptly forgetting about it. I actually stumbled across it again by accident - I couldn't find what I actually wanted to wear so in a fit of pique I emptied my entire t-shirt shelf onto the floor to sort through and I saw this baby staring up at me.

It was the perfect thing to team with my faux leather Topshop joggers for the warmer weather - if you've got to wear trousers you may as well make sure you're cool on the top half right? 10 points to anyone who can guess what I wore on my feet that day.... yes you would be correct in saying that once I again I paired the outfit with my Topshop ugly trainers. While it might be a bit predictable at this stage, at least I'm consistent...

  1. Cool pants, especially cut but on warmer days would not be better pants with a cut but sewn from a thin satin?

    1. Thanks lovely! Absolutely, I have a satin pair that I wear a lot too in the warmer months - I do find these quite lightweight though even though they don't look it! :)

  4. That's right ;-) I have 27 degrees Celsius at home and I would not decide for my leather, I prefer the thinner satin. You actually have one, chow away quite a long time did not appear on your blog ;-).
