UK Fashion blogger Lucy Love

You guys. YOU GUYS. You’re all probably aware by now of how much I love Boohoo – I’ve been religiously shopping with them for years, so the fact that I now get to work with them on this little blog of mine is nothing short of mind-blowing. It’s honestly a pinch me kinda moment.

Not only am I lucky enough to work with them, I’ve also been invited to some of their London events over the past 12 months and last night I was absolutely honoured to attend the launch party for their latest collaboration with Stefflon Don. Held at Libertine in Fitzrovia, the event promised all the glitz and glam of a proper celeb bash, and trust me, it didn’t disappoint. (Make sure you subscribe to my Youtube channel to see my vlog from the event coming soon)

While I unfortunately had to leave before Steff’s performance due to my ever irritating train timetable, I did get to spend a few hours with my absolute fave babes catching up, dancing and enjoying the free cocktails on offer (I may or may not be typing this on my lunchbreak in the office with a slightly sore head but shhh).

Since the collection dropped yesterday, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to share with you guys some of my favourite pieces and how I would style them. This collection is right up my street with the urban sporty vibes I love so much influencing every single piece. While I would be undeniably ecstatic to have all the collection in my wardrobe, for the sake of your sanity I thought I would limit myself to choosing my top three stand out pieces, so here we go…

Firstly, the padded jacket of dreams. When I saw this on the website I immediately had palpitations – I’m really enjoying metallics right now and silver in particular. With the jacket being cropped, it’s perfect for the spring weather when you still kinda need an extra layer but don’t want to commit to a full on coat situation. I’d wear this with a bodysuit layered underneath, some joggers and some badass heels for going out OR with a bodysuit, some leggings and a pair of chunky trainers for during the day for the perfect model off duty/just left the gym but looking faaaabulous darling kinda look. You get me? Good.

Secondly, this bodysuit. THIS IS A VIBE. It’s giving me all the faux Gucci (or fucci as I like to call them) feels and I think this would be absolutely damn perfect for spring summer. Worn with a casual pair of denim shorts, chunky trainers, hair in plaits and a banging pair of statement sunnies is exactly how I would wear this for during the day (maybe with a certain padded jacket over the top) or teamed with a black bodycon skirt and killer heels for a night on the town. Yes, yes, YES.

Finally, I kinda feel like I’ve left the best til last. This bodycon dress is so on trend right now it’s actually killing me a little. Checkerboard print is everywhere at the moment and whilst I’ve not dabbled in it yet (who the hell knows why because it’s a monochrome print so I should be all over that) I feel like this would be the perfect introduction for me. I feel like the print in the centre would be super flattering on all body types, and while bodycon sometimes scares the bejeesus out of me, this looks like it would flatter all the bits I hate the most. I’d throw an oversized denim jacket over it for daytime with a pair of statement shades and either some black boots or a pair of vans, and for the evening of course I’d wear some killer heels and strut my stuff!

What do you think of my wishlist choices? Have you checked out the collection yet & if so, what did you think of it? Let me know in the comments below!
