I would say all summer too but in a twist to my wardrobe foreseen by none, for once I possess an item of clothing that is non-weather appropriate due to it being too warm rather than too cold. Riddle me that…
Anyway, hi, my name is Lucy and would you believe it I have finally found a dress that I am 100% obsessed with and wish to wear forever more. Last weekend, I went shopping with Mum as an early birthday treat and one of the things I picked up was this amazing H&M dress. Now, you know I’ve always had a love for that urban/sporty vibe, but this seems to have picked up a notch recently with this all new American sporty trend that has hit the high street recently.
I feel like we’ve graduated from the simple sporty stripe and we’ve gone wholly head first into this collegiate/slightly preppy vibe and I’m actually loving it. Surprisingly, one of the things I’m loving the most is the pops of red and blue these pieces seem to feature – as one who has always shied away from colour, I’m liking the difference this brings to my wardrobe and weirdly to my complexion. I didn’t realise how much healthier I’d look with a bit of colour on my body!
What I love most about this dress in particular is the material and the fact that it is long sleeved. As we all know, this is not exactly the warmest spring that has ever been experienced and I believe that snow is once again forecast this weekend which I am not impressed by – snow on my birthday is not something that I wished for this year but hey ho, I’ll embrace it anyway. The material is super thick – similar actually to this H&M cropped sweater I’ve been wearing to death recently – which is perfect while we’re all still waiting for the spring temperatures to hit, and I’m loving wearing it with bare legs and trainers. It’ll be perfect towards the end of the year too and I’m just loving having such a versatile piece in my wardrobe.
What do you guys think of this dress? How would you style it? Let me know in the comments!
