I think this was the first time in almost a week that I’d ventured into the fresh air. I wish I was joking but after the #BeastFromTheEast set upon the UK last week, we were pretty much stranded inside and while I love a snow day or three, I didn’t fancy shooting outfits in the soaking wet and freezing cold. I’m pretty sure my camera wouldn’t have liked it either…
A few weeks ago now, the guys at Hidden got in touch to see if I fancied choosing some pieces from the site to style up. It took me all of 0.005 seconds to jump at the chance – if you’ve not been on their site recently then holy wow you’re missing out. It’s full of all things faux Gucci, striped and athleisure – in other words, exactly what I like to fill my wardrobe with.
The first things to catch my eye were these absolutely incredible boots. I loved the two textures of the faux leather and the patent toe, and my eyes were immediately drawn to the stripe down the front. I’ve been looking for a more dainty pair of boots like this for the longest time to style with joggers and also with jeans – I feel like they’re the perfect way to dress up a pair of joggers for the evening or other smarter occasions and I will never argue with an added few inches of height.
I decided to carry on with the faux Gucci (or Fucci as I like to call it) vibes with this new t-shirt I picked up from Topshop on my recent shopping trip. I always love a slogan, so mixing a slogan with the Gucci-esque stripes across the front was an obvious choice. I really like the way this outfit turned out – it’s definitely something I’m going to recreate again when the weather is a little warmer and I don’t feel quite so much like I’m losing a limb to frost bite.
Do you like this outfit? What would you style these boots with? Let me know in the comments below!
