No, I’m not talking double denim (which lets face it is less faux pas than par for the course these days) or white after Labour Day (which, considering I’m from the UK, I’m not entirely sure what it means) – I’m talking the other biggest fashion faux pas. I am a serial outfit repeater, for my sins.
I just can’t help it though. When I find something I absolutely adore I can’t help but wear it over and over (and over) again. Those of you who have been long term readers of this blog will have seen this with my satin effect joggers, my Nike trainers, my white Urban Outfitters backpack, my River Island beanie, my entire selection of slogan t-shirts and now apparently this Zara oversized sweater dress.
I have featured it on the blog three times in as many months and worn it approximately 1 billion times in between. Since re-discovering my huge oversized mesh dress as a layering piece it’s been like a match made in heaven and I’ve been swanning around feeling fifty shades of fucking fabulous ever since. I usually wear this combination with some sort of chunky heeled boot as we all know an additional inch or three can go a long way, but for London Edge I needed something a little more comfortable and that’s where Ego came in to play.
I stumbled across these absolutely gorgeous Balenciaga dupes online a month or so ago, and the babes at Ego kindly provided me with a discount code so I could pick them up before payday and I am SO glad I did. Not only are they uber stylish and a dead ringer for their £800+ counterparts, they’re also the most ridiculously comfortable things I’ve worn in a long time and they did a great job at keeping my feet happy throughout the entire day at London Edge and the entire evening at the after party.
If you wanna check out my first impressions of the boots then you can watch my video here and make sure you subscribe! Do you like the way I’ve styled this outfit? How would you wear this sweater dress differently? Let me know in the comments below.
