“Oh how original” I hear you all cry, “another blog post featuring Lucy in that Missguided blazer” but guys, I just can’t stop myself. I honestly think it’s one of the best things I have ever bought in my life.
I bought it shortly after moving to London, I wanted something a little smarter to wear when going out for drinks and dinner as I didn’t have much ‘formal’ wear in my wardrobe that didn’t consist of long dresses and the one, solitary, Topshop jacket I had left over from the early days of blogging. Don’t get me wrong, that jacket is undeniably gorgeous, but this is much less structured, much more relaxed and therefore much more wearable on a day to day basis.
I love throwing it over the top of a t-shirt and leggings like I have done in this post – it perfectly dresses up a casual outfit and changes it to something that would be totally acceptable for evening drinks, a meal out or even perhaps going out out – depending on your personal preferences. I mean at the age of 26 the likelihood of getting me into a tight dress and heels to go to a club is minimal, I would rather be comfortable.
I am loving the little pop of colour in this outfit too from the red stripe down the side of these Zara leggings. They also get top points for being part of the shape wear range as not only does this make the material nice and thick and therefore 100% suitable for wearing as trousers but they also kinda lift and suck in everything you want lifted and sucked in and therefore they are v. flattering and also very comfortable. 10/10 would buy again.
What do you think of this outfit? How would you style a blazer like this? Let me know in the comments below.
