Now, let me tell you a story. A love story if you will – only not the conventional boy meets girl love story. No, this is more girl meets cropped sweater of her dreams in H&M but can’t afford it and then goes back two weeks later to find out it’s an in store exclusive BUT there are two remaining and one just happens to fit her perfectly kinda story. Not going to hit the best seller lists any time soon and I doubt Hollywood will be knocking at my door for the movie rights but I promise you it’s a love story to rival at least Fifty Shades.
But not Moulin Rouge. Nothing rivals Moulin Rouge.
Back to the story at hand, I was in my post-London Edge hungover state with Jess and we decided to hit up Oxford Street and Carnaby for a bit of window shopping to kill the time until Jess’ train home. We popped into H&M because hello affordable fashion, and straight away my eye was caught by this absolute babe of a sweater. I was really good and didn’t go for it because I didn’t want to put myself in a tricky financial position for later in the month, however the minute I got paid I was straight into store to pick it up. Turns out I got there at just the right time as there were literally only three left. I would have gone for a small originally, however faced with a rack of only mediums and larges, I tried on the medium and absolutely loved the oversized fit. The cashier actually told me its an in store exclusive and there weren’t many left at all so I’m really pleased I went in when I did or my bae and I may never have properly met *insert heartbreak emoji*.
It seemed obvious really that I would style it with my new favourite Zara leggings and Stradivarius trainers. What else would I choose to pair with my new favourite thing than my other new favourite things? Speaking of new favourite things, I just had to accessorise with this amazing watch from my favourite babes at Ice Watch! They very kindly gifted me a new watch and I couldn’t resist going for this oversized red number from their Dune collection – red is the one colour I will happily wear and I’m trying to bring more red accents into my wardrobe to break up the black and white. It worked so well in this outfit thanks to the red running through the bottom of my sweater and the whole thing gave me kinda nautical vibes mixed in with the sporty athleisure.
Do you like this outfit? How would you have styled this sweater? Let me know in the comments.
