What a weekend! Last week, I opened my Valentines card from Joe for two first class train tickets to fall out of it. I was so overcome to see that he’d paid for me to visit my family this weekend just gone after an incredibly tough few weeks. Heading home for a weekend and spending my time outside in the proper fresh air, running through the fields with my dogs, reading in my favourite little window seat in my bedroom, and spending quality time with my parents helped to set my head straight for the coming weeks and there can be no better remedy for me.
Unfortunately, a weekend of bliss was followed by a cramped train journey in a carriage filled with some of the most ignorant humans I’ve encountered this year and thus I came back to earth with a bump, but you can’t have everything.
I felt that this was a particularly appropriate outfit to bring you on a Monday morning, and not just for the slogan alone but perhaps we should address that first. Slogans have become a staple part of my wardrobe over the past four years and I am always on the look out for more to add to my collection including this pretty rad Zara tee that I picked up in the Boxing Day sales back in December. I loved its oversized fit – it’s so damn comfortable, and I also loved that it appears almost slightly acid washed when you see it in the flesh.
I am bringing a bit of corporate styling to the table for Monday morning however with the addition of these suit style joggers from Zara. I’ve not actually worn these for quite some time now – I’m not actually sure why I haven’t worn them in so long but I do think it is possible that my addiction to share sized bars of Galaxy (that I definitely do not share) may have something to do with it… Anyway, ever increasing waists aside, I thoroughly enjoyed wearing them again and I am particularly excited to recreate this outfit once the weather warms up a tad…
Do you like the way I have styled this outfit? Is this a slogan tee you would wear? Let me know in the comments below!
