Now now you dirty minded lot, I know what you’re thinking. With a post title like that, is the subject of this missive going to be a little blue? I can promise you however we’re keeping things strictly PG13 over here – this post is all about this incredible t-shirt the lovely folks over at This Sweet Year sent me in December.
I love it when you meet with a brand and just immediately hit it off. I spied the This Sweet Year stall at September’s London Edge and immediately fell in love with the mixture of tongue in cheek/punny designs and sheer talent of Sarah’s embroidery! Just before Christmas, she kindly sent me some items from their latest collection including this fantastic gin jumper and of course, the adorable sausage dog t-shirt.
I have been a fan of all things Doxie for years, and long for the day when I can own one myself. I currently have a pop up Dachshund in the living room to take the place of a real one until the sausage shaped hole (oi oi) in my life is complete so being able to proudly sport my affection for the adorable little critters on my clothes now makes me pretty damn happy.
I picked up these awesome jeans in Zara over the Christmas break – now I know I don’t often wear jeans, but this pair were just too good to pass up. You know I’m all about that sporty side stripe in my wardrobe so when I spied these beauties with the contrasting stripe I just had to snap them up. I’d been itching to wear them ever since I bought them so I had to pair them with my new favourite t-shirt of course.
In an effort to break up the all black combination, I thought it was about time to introduce you to this amazing pair of metallic cowboy boots from Pretty Little Thing at ASOS that Joe bought me last year. I can’t believe I haven’t worn them on here yet but such is life – you know I’m all about the statement boot life after my favourite carpet boots and metallic gold ones found their way into my life early last year, so I needed to add more to my collection. I’m not 100% sure if they worked with this outfit – I kinda feel like they make my legs look a little shorter than they actually are but in 2018 I’m trying to care less about silly things like that so I rocked them anyway and well, here we are.
How would you have styled these boots? Are you going to pick up a sausage dog t-shirt of your own? Let me know in the comments below!
