Ok so please forgive me, I took this set of photos before Christmas to send off to the lovely Sarah at This Sweet Year and then lost them on my external hard drive until this evening – I promise you I do not still have my tree up this late into January, but maybe this unseasonal dose of festivity will get you in the mood for Christmas 2018?
Too soon? Sorry, moving on…
As I mentioned in this post, I met the fabulous This Sweet Year at September’s London Edge last year and their collection immediately stood out to me for its pun-ny humour, quirky slogans and awesome embroidery so you can imagine how happy I was when the ever so talented Sarah asked if I’d like to receive some items from their winter collection to style.
When the parcel arrived I literally ripped it open in excitement and was thrilled to see not just the awesome sausage dog t-shirt but also this incredible gin sweater. Now not only is it the most comfortable sweater I’ve ever worn in my life, can we just take a minute to admire the freakin’ pink gin on the front of it?!
I wanted to try something a little different with these photos, I was aiming for a more candid style in the flat rather than the more posed photos I tend to favour when I’m shooting on a location. I’m not 100% sure if they worked for the blog but I quite like them nonetheless. I teamed the sweater with a simple pair of skinny black wax look trousers for the ultimate ‘you caught me at home’ vibe and I kinda really dig it.
What do you think of the gin sweater? How would you have styled it? Let me know in the comments below!
