If there are three lessons that I will take away from this weekend they are:
- Shooting blog photos in bulk is equal parts rewarding and exhausting. On the one hand, I have two weeks of blog content sat here ready to go, but on the other I am categorically exhausted from carrying a multitude of outfits all around London with me all day.
- Getting changed in McDonalds toilets is a logistical nightmare.
- After three years of blogging I still do not know what to do with my upper body when I pose – if someone could help me so that I don’t look that round shouldered I rival the Hunchback of Notre Dame that would be wonderful.
Oh and 4th: wearing leather trousers will never not result in a Ross Geller incident, made worse when you’re trying to remove them quickly in said McDonald’s toilet cubicle while impatient families tut loudly outside.
This weekend myself and Alice headed over to Notting Hill for some typical blogger-y fun which included posing on people’s doorsteps and trying not to get discovered, playing spot the blogger (we only saw one other blogger/youtuber, how disappointing), and seeing how many times we could get changed in the same McDonalds toilet without the staff becoming suspicious. We also went for an impromptu Topshop trip where we both swore nothing would be spent (so of course we left with matching t-shirts, it was great).
I fancied embracing my love of all things black for this outfit and combined my favourite leather look Zara trousers and Zara band-esque t-shirt in a nod to all things emo. While these trousers aren’t too practical in a “getting stuck to your skin and really requiring a team effort to remove” kinda way they do look all kinds of gorgeous so I guess I can forgive them for their inconveniences. I, of course, decided to knot my t-shirt at my waist in what I feel is becoming my signature style. God help me when it becomes too cold for stomach exposure in a few weeks, I’ll actually have to dress like a normal person again…
