And here ladies and gentlemen, observe Lucy in her natural habitat. Lucy takes not a blind bit of notice of the weather outside and insists upon wearing leather effect joggers despite the temperature reaching 30 degrees in London. Common signs that you have spotted Lucy include a trail of (empty) Doritos packets, piles of discarded (and well read) books, and an all black wardrobe regardless of the time of year or the weather.
Yes guys, you’ve read that exactly right. This year, just like every other since I started my blog, I have been completely unable to dress for the weather. I look out of the window in the morning and I see the sunshine but for some reason my brain takes that to mean ‘oh yes, leather effect joggers are the perfect choice today’ and nobody questions it.
This day, I think temperatures were around 30. We’d decided to head into nearby Bromley for the day to check out the local shopping centre and pick up a few bits and bobs for the flat and I honestly think it’s a miracle that I made it home alive rather than spontaneously combusting in Wilko or melting into an attractive pool of sweat on the bus ride home…
Granted I did decide to wear a crop to counteract the effect of wearing heavy trousers during our trip but if I’m honest after the first half hour I was pretty much a lost cause, crop top or no. While I do adore this outfit and give myself a full 10/10 style wise, it was 100% the wrong choice for this particular day out.
Do you have a difficult time dressing for the weather? Let me know in the comments below, it would be nice to know I’m not the only one!
