I woke up yesterday morning and I was tired. A night of little sleep due to recent events in London does not a sprightly Lucy make in the morning, and as Joseph and I embarked on another day of flat viewings (fingers crossed I will have good news for you soon) it was business as usual.
As I knew I’d be dragging my weary self around London for the day, I decided to shy away from my smarter clothes and instead favoured my age old favourite combination of lightweight, loose fit joggers and a t-shirt. Groundbreaking, I know. You see though, this has been such a timeless combination for me that I really couldn’t resist. I spend a lot of time at the moment going through old blog posts and photos – partly to reminisce but partly because I also like to revisit old outfits and get inspiration from the posts that performed best for me, and I remember similar Sunday outfits being featured on LJLV time and time again and loving them.
Granted I’m posting this on a Monday but…
I have to say I was definitely the comfiest I’d been in quite a while. I hadn’t worn this t-shirt in a while despite it being an absolute favourite of mine. I hadn’t really had anything I wanted to style it with to tell you the truth – there’s only so many times you can recreate essentially the same t-shirt and shorts combination without getting bored but I do so love it. I especially enjoy the slit up the back in this weather – although this weekend I decided to knot the back instead to make it more close fitting in contrast to the loose fit of the joggers.
Finally to the headgear which I admit may come across as slightly controversial – I do want to throw it out there that this was in no way intended to be cultural appropriation and was merely something I picked up at a festival gifting event last week and fell in love with. Ultimately far more festival appropriate than as part of my every day wardrobe, I decided that my hair just looked terrible that morning and this truly hid a multitude of sins for the purpose of this blog post. Also, I mean it really is gorgeous – have you seen how stunning that metallic gold detailing is?!
