Don’t you just love it when you have a really clear idea in mind for how you want a shoot to go and it actually goes that way? I’ve spent most of this week wracking my brain trying to work out how to style this shoot and how to actually pose in order to carry off the vibe that I was after – I think I managed!
I’ve been finding myself continually inspired by more ‘high fashion’ bloggers recently, with Native Fox being my number one go to when I need a dose of gorgeous clothes and super inspiring editorial photoshoots. While my budget doesn’t stretch to the clothes that she wears, I’ve been trying to get a bit more experimental with both my locations, poses and photographs that I produce for this blog.
This outfit was a fun one and actually the more I think about it, definitely one that I’d wear out during the day. I’ve been loving these Missguided joggers recently, they’re so comfortable and I love how loose fitting they are at the top tapering into a gathered leg when they reach the calf. They definitely give a more structured look to your typical ‘jogger’ and with the material they would be a great day to night option if you’re not going somewhere too fancy.
I bought this Topshop mesh top last year and when it arrived I was quite shocked over how sheer it actually was. I assumed I’d be able to wear it in a similar manner to other mesh tops I have, but with this one you can almost get arrested for indecent exposure if you’re not careful…
