I’d say that I’m not normally swayed to make a purchase based on another blogger’s blog/insta/youtube but you only need to look back through my blog archive to out me as a total liar, so to save some time and redeem myself a little lets just say I’m a total slave to being influenced by the influencer. When I saw Lydia of Fashion Influx wearing this gorgeous Zara bodysuit in one of her recent snaps, I knew I needed one in my life, although I was originally intending to get it in black cos y’know, I’m a slave to the monochrome life (and also a massive goth).
It seems that, in recent months, when I’ve wanted to make a new clothing purchase I’ve messaged Jess for her opinion and when I sent her a picture of this bodysuit she gave me all the heart eye emojis and suggested I sack off the black one for the red. I was, quite frankly, terrified to wear such a bold colour but when I met up with her later in the month and we accidentally tripped and fell into Zara, well, it was love at first sight and I came over all Baywatch and snapped the red up before my mind could interject with what my heart desired.
I’m actually really glad I broke out of my comfort zone and went for the red. Sure it’s low cut, and without Pamela Anderson’s chest perhaps I’m a little less Baywatch and a little more Benidorm 2k8 but what can you do. I also may or may not have had an unfortunate nip slip incident in the middle of seven dials in London but y’know, what’s an outfit shoot without getting arrested for indecent exposure?*
I like breaking out of my comfort zone and wearing bold colour every now and then. Is there a comfort zone you like to break out of with your fashion choices too? Let me know!
