I definitely didn’t intend for the lighting to be quite so red toned when I took these, but it happened and y’know, I actually really like it. These photos were taken on an impromptu trip home last month, and although I went back in quite sad circumstances, I hadn’t realised how much I needed the time out away from London to regroup and calm my head down.

I spent Friday night and Saturday night at home before heading back to the city on Sunday, but those two nights I spent back home I slept better than I have in months. There is just something about breathing real, clean air, sleeping in a room that is so dark and unpolluted by city lights streaming in the window at all hours, and the beauty of your own bed that really sets you up for a great week.

Since I’ve got back to London I’ve felt much happier and ready to take on the remaining weeks at work before my next trip back home for the festivities to begin!

I haven’t featured these culottes on the blog for a while after my initial obsession with them early in the year, but I can assure you I’m still loving them just as much as I was when I first bought them back in May and I tend to reach for them most weekends. They’re just so comfortable and easy to style and I love the silhouette they give me. I’ve got my eyes on a silver pleated pair like these that I’d like to buy for the holiday season

I’ve also been living in basics like this fab long sleeved H&M t-shirt recently. I realised a week or so ago that I didn’t have any warm, long sleeved tops clean and available at Joseph’s for work the following day. Shortly after this realisation the heel on my work boots fell off and it was swiftly decided that I needed to go shopping, pronto. I headed to H&M and for £40 managed to pick up four tops like this, and a pair of real leather boots from Topshop for another £42 – not bad for an unexpected work haul. I’ve found myself increasingly wearing the tops outside of work as well which really is just a testament to how fab they are.

Do you have a combination that you keep reaching for over and over again? Let me know in the comments. Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ if you haven’t already to keep up to date with my latest Blogmas posts – tomorrow I will be showing you my favourite Lush Christmas picks!

I loooove culottes so much but it's always too cold to wear them now. An outfit combo I usually go or is black jeans, an oversized t-shirt and a massive jacket because it's so comfy and warm hahaDalal

The culottes are amazing!! Can't stop wearing mine even though i feel like i might end up with hypothermia..All i seem to wear lately is long sleeved t-shirts underneath a baggy tee (chanelling my inner skater chick) culottes and converse, not overly winter appropriate for the UK.You look absolutely amazing – haven't been on here for too long so gonna have a proper good stalk of your blog!! xxx
