It was about bloody time I uploaded another lookbook video for you – I don’t think one has gone live since the summer which is appalling but we all know how bad I am at remembering to upload to YouTube regularly.
I think I went through a particularly successful period of one upload a week until life happened and well…here we are.
I wanted to try and mix it up a little bit this time and change up my content – I want things to look a bit slicker and more polished than they used to, and I want to go through the proper ‘filmmaking’ process with storyboarding, location scouting and a real consideration where outfits, music and shots are concerned rather than just rolling with the punches like I used to.
This was filmed around the Soho area of West London. I took my inspiration from my favourite band, The 1975, and the neon concept that has surrounded their second album ‘I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful But So Unaware Of It’ and I wanted to stay true to the slightly ‘edgy’ reputation that comes with Soho. I hope that comes across in the video!
