Guys I’m listening to Christmas songs while I’m writing this and like, on the one hand I’m loving it, and on the other hand I’m like ‘oh god no Lucy stop while you still have chance’ because although I’ve started feeling super festive this week, part of me wants to keep a handle of it at least until after Children in Need.
But guys, it’s UNDER TWO MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS AND I CAN’T EVEN!!
In an effort to get away from the Christmas feels, I decided to post this outfit. Although Halloween was a few days ago now, I still can’t avoid the temptation to dress like a slightly sportier Wednesday Addams and basically wear all the black. Ever. All of it. I kinda forget how much I love this sweater – mainly because it is a bit of a pain to wear – something about the sleeves bothers me and therefore I end up permanently fiddling with it but it does look bloody awesome. I’m really feeling texture again at the moment and I think the contrast between the mesh of the sleeves and the almost neoprene appearance of the main fabric is a little bit special ok? Ok.
Bringing this Urban Outfitters a-line skirt back too. It’s kinda been relegated into my work wardrobe completely by accident recently just because it’s really comfortable and also it’s like the only size 6 piece of clothing I can still fit into and I want to hang on to that as long as I can.
Finally I thought I’d give the creepers a little outing again as it’s been a while and I’m always fond of them. I remember how excited I was to finally get my hands on them a few years ago, I’d saved up for ages for this pair, I think it was something about the black and white leopard print that just got me stupidly excited. I still adore them but I kinda wish I’d gone for the higher stacked soles because they are so damn comfortable but I still look like a little elf wearing them.
Do you like this outfit? Would you wear a sweater like this, and if so how would you style it? Let me know in the comments!
