Taking an unexpected break from the grey backgrounds with this post today – an impromptu shoot that Joseph and I decided to do in what is possibly the coolest tunnel ever just down the road from his flat. It also seems to be a favourite of amateur glamour photographers, so not only do you get to feast your eyes on some incredible street art, you can also catch a glimpse of a rogue nipple or two…
Since we’re getting into the ~transitional season, I’ve finally brought the long sleeved t-shirts out of their summer hibernation and with them comes this old favourite from last year. I’m still not entirely sure what I’m apparently sorry for, but it’s safe to say a strong slogan down my arms appeals to my ‘sports luxe’ vibe. I’m still loving the turtle neck too, which I have to say is quite surprising. I wasn’t sure I’d still be going for them this year after my love affair last winter, but I find them super flattering on me – maybe because they give me the illusion of a longer neck. I’m not sure why that’s such a good thing, but it is.
I didn’t actually intend to shoot this top with my ASOS wide leg trousers – I was going to give the leather joggers a go seeing as I haven’t featured them on here in what seems like forever, however this combination resulted instead and I’m actually really enjoying it! I feel like it works because it makes for an interesting silhouette – the tighter upper half versus the loose fit of the lower half. Last winter I played around with texture and adored it, and I have a sneaking suspicion that this winter it’ll be silhouette, so keep an eye out, I think things are going to start getting interesting.
Did you like how I styled this? Let me know in the comments below, and don’t forget to let me know how you’d have styled this outfit too!
