Remember that phase I went through a couple of years ago when I wore pretty much exclusively slouch fit clothing that basically made me feel as though I was permanently wearing pyjamas out of the house? Yeah I think I’m going to start bringing that back.
I wore this little ensemble for the Pure London Show at the beginning of August – for those of you who haven’t heard of Pure before, it is basically a huge fashion trade show that brands attend in order to attract new clients to stock their clothing and accessories. I went there with work and therefore was in a professional capacity as a Social Media Manager, however there was a massive influencer presence there this year and I was stoked to catch a Q&A session with the lovely Lorna Luxe on day 1. Definitely a highlight!
Walking round Olympia all day for three days on the run does get pretty tiring though, and while it was categorically roasting outside, it was also freezing inside so therefore it required some pretty clever dressing on my behalf. On the first day I got it completely wrong, but on the second I was inspired from seeing a couple of outfits the day before and decided to go all out comfort – it paid off!
This turtle necked Cheap Monday sweater will always be a favourite in my wardrobe – I picked it up probably two years ago now and it’s still earning it’s keep. It’s so warm and cosy, but the very loose short sleeves make it perfect for this kind of transitional weather when it can’t quite decide what temperature it wants to be. We all know how much I’m loving the wide legged trousers at the moment, and while the whole outfit might not paint the most flattering silhouette in the world, for once I don’t actually care. I was warm, I was cosy and I felt confident!
How would you have styled something like this? Do you have an item of clothing you can’t stop reaching for in your wardrobe?
