I’m currently writing this after three nights of no sleep and I kinda feel like a cave person emerging from underground for the first time blinking and dishevelled so I just want to apologise to everyone involved if this post is decidedly crap. Anyway, I have always wanted to be one of those swanky bloggers/youtubers with the awesome lookbooks on her channel and now, thanks to the very talented Anton volunteering his camera skills for the day following an inspiring trip to the Tate Modern, I have one!
I had a total nightmare editing this video thanks to YouTube hating my music taste – I actually filmed it about two months ago now but after one thing or another (as is always the case with me and my videos) it’s only just gone online. Sorry about that. I had so much fun making and editing it though so you can definitely expect a lot more content like this from me in the future.
I was so excited to film this outfit having finally, FINALLY, worked up the courage to purchase a pair of culottes. I feel they’ve become a total blogger staple over the last 12 months but I’m forever terrified of looking more of a short arse than I actually am and therefore I have avoided them like the plague, but after spending one hour too many browsing ASOS I decided to grab the metaphorical bull by the balls and just buy them. And y’know what? I bloody love the things! They’re so comfortable and actually weirdly flattering that when I’m parted from them a little piece of me dies inside. Yes, that’s right, I have absolutely 100% fallen in love with an item of clothing again.
Oh and have you seen those shoes though?! I was worried they’d be hideously uncomfortable due to the pointy toe, however I honestly feel like I’m walking on a cloud when I wear them and best of all, no blisters. Plus I’m all about those steampunk-y vibes they got goin’ on!
So without further ado, I present to you my ‘masterpiece’ – you can also watch it on YouTube, don’t forget to hit that subscribe button!
