I feel like I’m forever overwhelmed by the lovely people I’ve met through blogging and through photography. I’m so lucky to have so many talented people who are willing to lend their time to help me grow this space and collaborate on shoots with me – I think these are easily some of the best pictures that have ever been taken of me, and finding people that share my creative mind so perfectly that the shots turn out exactly how I imagined in my head is something I’ll be forever grateful for.
So, sorry for the radio silence. Heartbreak does that to a gal and I haven’t had the mental capacity to deal with blogging or the internet in general the last month or so. I’m sure you’ve probably seen on Twitter that I haven’t been in the best place, but I’m back and better than ever now and nobody is ever going to come between me and my blog again – at the end of the day, you should never sacrifice the thing you love the most for anyone and I’ve missed my creative outlet so damn much.
This shoot was one that I was so excited for – I finally get to show you guys my holy grail clothing item that after 2 years of wanting I have eventually got my hands on PLUS there’s another little gem from Pink Soda Sport included too! As you can probably tell, I wanted these shots to have a more editorial feel to them rather than your usual outfit shots that you get from me, and therefore I thought I’d go all out with the leather, location and slicked back hair – and it really worked!
While I might not have the confidence to really walk around in this gorgeous Urban Outfitters lace bralet on a regular basis, it’s going to be perfect for my upcoming holiday to Turkey and will definitely looks super cute with a maxi skirt for the evenings. I feel like it perfectly bridges that gap between lingerie and crop top, and although I didn’t capture the back of it, the beautiful delicate straps contrasting against the bold lace is just too perfect. My H&M leather shorts have made another appearance – can you tell they’re a favourite?! What else was I going to wear with my gorgeous Pink Soda Sport crop though? I love mixing textures and mesh with leather is always a favourite. I really love how I can show you ways to style sportswear outside of the gym – I feel like it makes gym clothing investments even more worthwhile knowing you can bring them into your regular wardrobe too.
Finally, to the piece de resistance… my leather jacket. I’ve been wanting a leather jacket from The Kooples pretty much ever since I found out that Matty from The 1975 bought his there. Yes, I really am that guy. When I started looking at them in store I absolutely fell in love with the quality of the leather and the craftsmanship – from the embossed lining to the miniature skulls on the zips they just screamed luxe and I was hooked, however they were completely out of my price range. Cue my recent visit to Bicester Village (haul appearing on my YouTube channel this weekend!) and my finding this absolute beauty for £285 down from £595 – I really couldn’t leave it in the shop!
Do you have any holy grail items? Also – I chopped my hair off, do you like it?
