DAMN LJ! Back at it again with the ‘not blogging for weeks and totally breaking your schedule’ – I’m sorry guys. It’s been a difficult couple of weeks, I’ve not really felt like eating let alone blogging so I’ve kept away from the internet for a while. Heartbreak kinda does that to a gal.
BUT I’M BACK. So you can all relax and/or do a little dance of celebration cos you can look at pictures of my face on the internet again. I don’t know whether to feel sorry for you or celebrate with you tbh.
I jest. I’m all about celebrating.
I feel like in quite a lot of my recent blog posts I’ve been trying to nail the whole ‘model off duty’ vibe. I mean who am I kidding, I’m a 5″3 (I GOT MEASURED AND I GREW A WHOLE TWO INCHES OMG) little scruff with a nose ring and far too many tattoos but I think I’m slowly starting to get better at it. Please note the studded leather jacket slung casually over the shoulders like ‘who even needs sleeves anyway?’ and my nonchalantly looking into the distance as if I’m just too aloof for this world… I know, I know, I nailed it!
This crop top was very kindly sent me from the babes at Pink Soda, and I’m honestly not just saying it, it’s the comfiest crop I’ve ever worn. Of course, these are ultimately designed with exercise in mind but considering I’ve not set foot in a gym properly for years (aside from that time I forgot to eat, worked out, had an asthma attack and then fainted and had to be brought round with glucose sachets before I was allowed to go home…lol) I think they work really well as a fashion piece too. The band around the bottom of the crop adds some added support when needed, but it really doesn’t feel as though you’re wearing an item intended for exercise. The material is super soft and lightweight, and the gorgeous oatmeal colour basically means it goes hand in hand with my almost exclusively black wardrobe – a definite winner.
I decided to team it with my fave baroque style H&M skirt, although on hindsight looking at these pictures I’m not entirely sure it works – thoughts? Is double leather just too much?

PS: I don’t normally do anything like this, and I’m not usually an advocate of asking for money but my beautiful Mum got diagnosed with a rare form of cancer two years ago, and this year she’s running the Manchester 10k to raise money in the hopes it will help fund research and find a cure.
It would mean the world to both me and her if she could reach her target of £150 or more, and every penny helps. If you’d like to donate, you can do so through Just Giving – click here
