Forgive me, one day I will cease to name my blog posts after The 1975 songs, but considering the new album is a mere two months away and almost a month down the line I am still having post gig blues, I think I can be forgiven…
And so, observe – the beast in her natural habitat. That’s right, for the eagle eyed among you, you are indeed correct in noticing that for the first time in the history of LJLV (I think) I’ve actually done an outfit shoot indoors. I know, I know, it’s ok *pets*. I kinda just wanted to do something a little different, something nobody would expect on here, and you know what? I had so much fun. SO much fun in fact, that I might just do it again.
This outfit is one of my favourites at the moment. We all know I love a bit of monochrome, but there is something so simple, effortless, and wonderfully ‘model off duty’ about the plain white tee and the black pants. These amazing wax effect pants from New Look have become my new bae recently, not only are they indecently flattering to the point where my best friend said my legs looked skinny (my legs haven’t been skinny since before my dance career) they’re also SO comfortable. I’ve literally had to be prised apart from them when they’ve gone in the wash and I might have had withdrawal symptoms
a bit a lot. I picked up this simple slogan tee back in the summer from Zara – ‘take a breath and let the rest come easy’ is not only my ultimate anti-anxiety attack mantra but it also happens to be lyrics from one of my favourite songs from my teenage years. Worn tucked into my high waisted pants it looks cool, chic, and casual while still staying comfortable.
Perhaps we should ignore the odd socks? Ok? Ok. What do you think of my comfy & casual outfit? How would you style these items? And most importantly of all, what do you reckon to my new style of photos?
