I did intend for this post to be slightly different. It was supposed to be a ‘Get ready with me’ type post showing the typical process I take to change myself from looking like Princess Fiona as an ogre to Princess Fiona as a person. Just y’know with less singing, less wildlife and definitely less tiaras. Oh ok. Maybe a bit of singing. (Spotify’s Indie Sing a Long playlist is top, in case you were wondering). But then I realised that I am the world’s worst selfie taker, I’m useless at flat lays and well, all of my getting ready pictures were a bit of a flop…
I was going to do my usual ‘lets take this outside’ fandango when I shot this set, however my flatmate thought it would be a great idea to try and showcase the incredible view of Manchester that we have from our balcony and so, ladies and gentlemen, that is what happened. And to be honest with you, I think it looks cracking.

I was absolutely over the moon when Luxemme asked me to collaborate with them on a little shoot and sent me this beaut of a dress*. I had a few to choose from, however this one immediately caught my eye with it’s stunning caped sleeves – I have absolutely nothing like it in my wardrobe already and the first time I put it on I genuinely shouted ‘I’m an angel’ and ran round my apartment for a bit before remembering that I am, in fact, 23 and not 3.
I love my going out dresses to be a bit different – there’s no point rocking up to ~the club~ looking like every other girl out there, and this is something that Luxemme manage to achieve with every single one of their stunning dresses. Not only are these dresses totally original in style, they’re also incredibly well made! Take it from a gal who orders online a lot, the quality is second to none – and they arrive promptly too!
I’m still not 100% sure about my choice to team this dress with black tights – I think maybe I’ll be brave and risk the pale pins when I debut it in Manchester over the festive period, but I can wholeheartedly say it’s going to be a new wardrobe staple for me – did you ever see me breaking away from my all black wardrobe? Me neither!
What do you think of the dress? How would you style it on a night out? Make sure you keep your eyes peeled on my blog for a special Christmas giveaway with Luxemme and you could get your hands on a dress like this, just in time for Christmas!
