Is it just me, or are Harrington jackets all over the damn place at the moment? Not usually one to follow a trend, I was quite shocked when I found myself dreaming them into outfit combinations at any given opportunity and fully lusting after them in the windows of shops. I mean when you start genuinely drooling at the thought of a jacket with a tartan lining you know you really do have issues.
I finally picked one up in Camden after two failed attempts at bartering the price down (thanks anyway babe) for just £20 which I thought was a pretty sweet deal considering these babies are fetching upwards of £60 at places like Urban Outfitters. Admittedly the quality isn’t the same, but it looks just as good and that’s enough for me – who needs to be warm, or waterproof come to think of it? Not me!
Excuse the tired face in these shots, we’d been walking round the Northern Quarter all day and neither of us had much sleep thanks to me ending up in A&E the morning before (cheers stomach) but I think Michael did a good job of them anyway considering it was his first time ever shooting. I decided to throw on my New Look sheer vest and a pair of leggings for a casual and understated Sunday look, with my old faithful Office boots. Of course the cardinal sin of mixing checkered print occurred when my scarf met the lining of my coat but I reckon it works either way.
How would you style this jacket? Do you think I got away with my print clash?
