Confession: I was going to call this post ‘Model Off Duty’ but thought that was a bit ambitious for someone who resembles an actual hobbit. Minus the hairy toes. Promise.
This is quite possibly my favourite photo set of the year so far, minus this beauty I shot way back in the heady January days when 2015 was still full of promise rather than far too many late nights in the office and an unhealthy addiction to online shopping.
Oh who am I kidding, I’ve been addicted to online shopping for years.
Late nights in the office though…
I’d wanted an oversized white shirt for absolutely forever, only, due to my aforementioned hobbit-ness it’s quite difficult to find one that has the desired fit. I kinda wanted to find one that made me look as though I’d casually decided to wear my boyfriend’s shirt for the day following a night of passion (lol I should be so lucky) but every shirt dress was too long and men’s shirts just looked nothing short of ridiculous on me. Then I found this little beauty on ASOS and fell head over heels in love. It’s a River Island jobby, and it’s all crisp tailoring and gold hardware and just the right side of oversized to kinda give the ‘just woke up and threw his shirt on’ vibe. Teamed with my beautiful H&M shorts (similar) and Topshop sandals and I felt all kinds of chic swanning around my home town for the weekend.
I kinda think my confidence actually shows in these photos which makes a very pleasant change.
How would you have styled this shirt? Do you have an outfit that makes you feel instantly chic and confident? Comment below and let me know! (That rhymed >.<)
