(this is an outfit post, I promise, I just really really like this picture)
One thing I love the most about leaving the bustling, busy atmosphere that is Manchester to come home, is that home for me is so close to so many areas of absolutely outstanding natural beauty. My favourite of these areas to visit when I’m back is Conwy Beach – preferably with a dog or two and my camera in tow. Just before I jetted off to Mallorca last month, I came home for a week and made it my mission to gather the family for a Sunday morning beach walk.
Being by the water always gives me the space I need to clear my head, figure out what I’m going to do next, and most of all relish in the calm that the sound of the waves crashing against the beach brings me. Oh and the clean air – since moving to the city I could wax lyrical about the beauty of good clean air but maybe that’s for another post… (I jest, I wouldn’t wish that on you.)
Although the sky tried to tell me differently (seriously, why does the sky always have to be grey in the UK?!) it was a deceptively warm day, and so a walk along the coast required nothing more than a t-shirt and shorts. The t-shirt of choice was another of my trademark slogan beauties, this time with a message that I found 100% appropriate for my mindset over the last 12 months – boyfriends are overrated (unless you find a good one, in which case they’re actually quite great but y’know. Still looking). Not only do I love the slightly beige-y oatmeal-y colour of the t-shirt, I mostly love the back of it which is totally sheer and all kinds of beautiful. Teamed with those H&M shorts that may or may not have given me heart palpitations in the changing room (don’t ask) I felt totally casual and comfortable.
Shout out to my dog for the photobomb!
