What do you get when you get a group of bloggers together in a beautiful bar, with free food, free drinks, goody bags and a photo booth (with props!!)? You get the Cotton Traders Summer Sundown event!

(FYI: This is going to be a very photo heavy post so y’know, grab a cuppa you might be here a while)

You may remember I wrote this post last week about my trip to the Puffa A/W15 collection launch in Spinningfields – imagine my surprise when the very same week I was invited by the lovely ladies at Branded 3 to attend Cotton Traders‘ Summer Sundown event! Of course I said yes immediately, and spent the rest of the week counting down the hours until I could hang out with some of my favourite blogging gals!

As the name suggests, the event was a final salute to all things summer, and in keeping with the theme it was held at the Allotment Bar in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter. I have many fond memories of this particular venue, not only was it home to my first ever blogging event last year, but I’ve also enjoyed their deep fried halloumi on more than one occasion and I can never get enough of it!

I spent an absolutely fantastic evening catching up with Frankie and meeting the lovely Nichola, and the three of us posed (and drank, and ate) the night away in fine style! The food laid on for the evening was nothing short of sensational – a great mixture of sandwiches and the all important deep fried haloumi meant that I was one happy – and full – blogger! All washed down with complimentary champagne and a little vodka and coke.

Half way through the evening we were given a huge surprise when we each received a parcel containing a brand new scrap book and our five favourite photos of the summer printed out for us to keep! I’ve been wanting to start a scrapbook for absolutely ages so this has given me the perfect excuse to get stuck in! We also took part in a cute little quiz all about current events from the summer and to my absolute surprise (and delight) I came second and won an amazing £50 shopping voucher which I took great delight in spending this weekend – look out for the haul video on my YouTube channel soon!

All too soon, it was time for us to head home – but not before being presented with an incredibly generous Winter Warmer goody bag courtesy of the fantastic folk at Cotton Traders packed full of goodies to keep us cosy over winter including a hot water bottle, cosy socks, shortbread, chocolate and a lovely mug!

A huge thank you to everyone at Branded 3 and Cotton Traders for inviting me to such an incredible event – I had an amazing evening and I wish that I could do it all over again!

Keep your eyes peeled for a vlog of the evening coming soon, and I’ll be posting the outfit I wore too!

Awh this looked like such a great event, gutted I couldn't go.. It's so lovely that they took the time to do the scrapbook for everyone. I've never eaten at Allotment either, only ever been in for a drink. I'll definitely try the deep fried halloumi next time I'm there, I love halloumi xHOW I WEAR | A Manchester Style & Beauty Blog
