May I just point out that in two consecutive outfit posts I look tall. I mean not tall. I’ll never look tall. But I don’t resemble a hobbit quite so much in these than I normally do. And yes I know I’m wearing heels, but I always wear heels. Every inch helps *cough*.
I almost forget about these photos, so you can imagine how pleased I was when I went riffling through my computer this evening to find them on there. I had initially planned to post my LFW outfit tonight, but now I’m pushing that back a bit further, I like to think that it will create anticipation. This is what I like to think.
Onto the outfit, this was another of my grungy, all black everything everyday outfits that basically embodied everything I used to wear when I was 14 and still can’t quite escape from. There is literally nothing better to pair with black than black. Am I right?! These absolute beauties were the shorts I bought from H&M before I went on holiday – I decided I was basically bored with always wearing regular denim and I kinda fancied a black, acid wash style instead. I might have fallen out with them a little bit in the changing room when I discovered that I had to go up two sizes in order to fit my sizeable bum into them, but then I also remembered that I was in H&M and suddenly everything made sense (shout out to their horrendous sizing!).
Teamed with a slogan tee (of course) and my trademark leather jacket, it was a very pleasant throwback to my teenage years and I probably felt more confident than I have in a while. Just a shame I couldn’t have my teenage naivety and lack of responsibilities as well…
