So you’ll have to excuse my worse for wear appearance in these pictures.
It was Day 2 of Fury Fest which happened to coincide with Day 1 of tonsillitis and flu. Who knew then the fun week I had in store of constant tablets and trying to silently die at my desk while not missing my last day in my old job (oh yeah, I have exciting news to post at some point this week!). Clearly I did survive but only just, my last day consisted of my boss coming to give me a bunch of flowers and finding me huddled on the floor surrounded by Lemsip and marketing material from several years ago but I survived nonetheless!
Writing this from my bed in a Travelodge with only a teddy and a bottle of Diet Coke for company is making me miss Fury Fest even more (and making me feel guilty I haven’t sent bands their photos yet but seriously Dropbox and Travelodge internet are not a match in heaven made) but I am just reminding myself that my flat will be ready in T minus 2 days and then I will finally have my own space to call home.
Also, note how these posts are becoming a little more personal? Do we like this? I like this but y’know, you guys might just want me to shut up so please do tell me if you don’t like this.
ANYWAY, rambling aside, clothes happened that weekend. I tried so hard to avoid the rock music cliche of all black errrr’thang (there’s nothing wrong with that btw, I love it very much) but I just couldn’t help it. Getting ready that morning my friend put on Panic! At The Disco and then basically everything went downhill from there (I don’t mean that, I bloody love P!ATD) and I reverted back to my 14 year old emo stage of ALL THE EYELINER and also black.
I wanted the comfort of the day before combined with the warmth I didn’t have the day before (I needn’t have worried, it was BOILING on Sunday) and also trousers that I could stick my press pass on (get me right?!) without having to stop it peeling off again every 3 seconds like I had to on the Saturday. Hence the faux leather trousers. They really helped. The Nikes obviously made a comeback because they were a HUGE success the day before as did the BoohooFIT crop, this time with my Missguided mesh t-shirt over the top. I did debate for a while just wearing the crop as it had gotten so warm but then I remembered the lack of abs and the 4 slices of pizza I ate the night before and decided against it.
The Topshop bomber is surgically attached to my back right now so that made a comeback and the River Island beanie has become such a trademark wardrobe piece for me that I don’t even know why I bother mentioning it anymore. Basically if I’m not in work and I’m wearing clothes there is a 99% chance I’m wearing the beanie.
