I didn’t realise that today was Friday until about 20 minutes after I woke up, then I felt in a strange sort of limbo for most of the day. Now it’s 9pm and I’m still trying to work out where on earth this week has gone and why it didn’t inform me that it was passing. In my head its still Tuesday afternoon. Time flies when you’re having fun…
These trousers might just be my number one purchase ever. EVER. I didn’t even mean to get them. I was leaving Topshop all pleased with myself for not buying anything in the sale and then next thing you know I catch sight of these beauties out of the corner or my eye and BAM! I knew I couldn’t go home without them, they just had my name written all over them (not literally of course, I don’t they would be half as nice if they had Lucy written all over them). I decided to give this layering fandango a go, and teamed my mesh RUNWAY crop (see Mum, I knew I’d find ways to wear it!) with an old Topshop crop I dug out of the depths of my wardrobe. The word laying has to be used quite loosely though, it implies warm clothes and winter appropriate fashion choices rather than two crop tops and a lot of bare flesh but I think it works quite well. I like to think it embodies ‘urban chic’ rather than ‘closet goth’ but I’ll let you be the judge of that.
Also, these are the first photos taken with my new remote shutter. Admittedly not the best in the world but I’m looking forward to practicing with it and having the freedom to shoot whenever I feel like it rather than whenever photographers are available 😉
