RETURN OF THE SLOGAN TEE

Fashion Blogger Lucy Love

Happy Bank Holiday Monday you sexy thangssss. Today I'm basically dedicating an entire post to what can only be described as my favourite trend - the slogan tee.

I've been a slave to the slogans since those heady days of shopping in Tammy Girl when I was 12. Admittedly the slogans I used to go for would probably make me cringe now, but at the time I used to be so proud when I rocked up to non-uniform day with something oh-so amusing emblazoned across my chest.

Thankfully since I've matured, my taste in slogans has too. Rather than going for questionable humour, instead I usually choose either something a little more understated (here, here, and here) or I push the boat out a little further and go for something a little more 'all singing, all dancing' like this amazing Zara slogan tee I picked up last weekend.

I know, I know. I'm supposed to be on a shopping ban. And I promise I was doing really well until it got to the end of the month and I just couldn't help myself. I've still ended up in a better position financially this side of payday but I know I need to keep challenging myself to spend less and therefore put myself in a better position for the end of the year.

As per usual, I digress from the point. Basically I think slogans are cool AF. Whether you're still favouring the Tammy Girl classics from the early 00's or whether your taste has matured somewhat and you're embracing the Girl Next Door vibes I feel the slogan shirt transcends seasons and never really goes out of style. Therefore I really don't feel guilty buying a wardrobe full of them...

Do you have a favourite slogan shirt? Let me know in the comments.

  1. This outfit is amazing! I love how elegant and sleek it is! I don't blame you loving slogan tee's they are great statement piece, and this one was a good choice to break your spending ban. I know the pain, I'm on one as well but I still spent some money at ShopDixi.. it can be quite hard sometimes doesn't it? Anyway, sorry for long and rambly comment! You look amazing <3
