QUEEN OF SHADOWS

Fashion Blogger Lucy Love

This post is sponsored by hormonal cravings, too much chocolate and absolutely no regrets. Oh and Spotify Indie sing along playlists because they're so bloody infectious.

I won't lie to you guys, I had planned on writing something entirely different today but despite my good intentions I find compiling wish lists and 'what's on my ASOS watch list' posts (which was exactly what this was supposed to be) boring AF to create and I just kept putting it off and putting it off and in the end I demolished my blogging schedule for the month in the name of fun.

NO REGRETS.

Onto business, you know those days where you do a blog shoot and you're just not feeling the results at all but then you get them through Lightroom and all of a sudden you're like 'well HELLO' and you've totally nailed the aesthetic you wanted all along? This is one of those shoots.

Last Sunday I really just wanted to be comfortable. While my now usual jeans and blazer combination is still cosy, nothing in my mind can beat joggers. Ever. I got these beauties from Missguided at the same time as picking up my Gucci dupe intending them to be worn with delicate heeled sandals while casually forgetting that nothing on earth will make me walk round Central London in heeled sandals on a Sunday and also that I can't actually walk very well in heels. Something to do with my ankle being on wrong and being the clumsiest person known to man means that me and delicate heels really don't go well together.

Surprisingly, despite my continuing hate-hate relationship with my 'curves', I actually didn't hate these without heels which is always guaranteed to brighten my day and my mood. I decided to team them with my current favourite slogan tee that I picked up from Zara and my forever jacket of choice, my leather from The Kooples. I'm so pleased I've got as much wear out of this jacket as I have - after lusting over it for actual years to finally have it in my hands was an amazing moment, and it's definitely proven it's worth time and time again (especially considering I got it brand new in store for £150 when it should have been £575...)

I feel like we should also take a moment of thanks for the River Island beanie making its long awaited albeit brief return to these pages. While it served me well in 2014 I can't quite get it to look right any longer. Is our love affair finally over? Tune in next week...

  2. Oh this outfit is amazing on you! I love those joggers, they look very cool on you. And I'm like you- I find putting together wish list posts very boring as well. Maybe it's because they were always my backup 'can't be bothered to do anything else' type of posts so they now have negative connotations for me ha
