BLOGMAS DAY 5: ZIGGY STARDUST

UK Fashion Blogger

Ok so I know that so far only one of my Blogmas posts has actually been Christmas themed but I'm writing this on December 1st so does that count at all? 24 sleeps until the big day and I am SO DAMN EXCITED. The atmosphere in the office had completely changed today, suddenly everyone seemed in such good spirits humming Christmas songs, and we had all the decorations up. So effing cute.

I think this might be one of my favourite outfit shoots that I've done this year. We left it a little late in the day to shoot simply because my train didn't get back into London until almost 2pm and I needed to go to Joe's to change so it was a little dark and gloomy, but I think with the location it works. For anyone wondering, this is shot on the cutest little street just behind the Tate (a little bit further down Southbank) and on one side looks kinda industrial, but on the other is this old Victorian style set of buildings. It reminds me a little of the Northern Quarter in Manchester which is about the only thing I miss from that city.

Anyway, I thought it was about time I featured my Trend Two ouija board t-shirt on here again, not because I'm all Satanic or anything but simply because at the moment I seem to be reaching for it more than pretty much any other shirt on the weekends. I still can't believe that I managed to pick it up for like £3 at the Fight Cancer with Fashion event a few years back. Some of the items I picked up at that event remain my favourites to this day - here's looking at you satin joggers, you baes.

I actually decided to be brave and team it with jeans. I was staying true to my Sunday wardrobe even though I feel so self conscious over how much weight I have put on recently, but my gorgeous Zara coat hid the worst of it and the all black ensemble allowed me to draw attention to the real stars of this outfit which are my super amazing sparkly spaceman boots from Zara.

The little mini block heel on these is just the cutest thing in the world and for some reason having really sparkly silver boots on made me feel like a real adult with her shit together while I was swanning around London for a meal and the cinema with Joe. Happy, happy days.

  2. First things first, girl you look cracking. I know everyone has their demons when it comes to body image but honestly you look great! I freaking hate wearing jeans as they make me feel all frumpy and stick to my hips the part hate the most about myself. But you look lovely!!

Totes digging the space man boots, theyre GORGEOUS! I saw a similar pair on Missguided in like a pinky colour that were so pretty.

    1. Aww thank you so much girl that meant a lot to me to read <3 I really need to get my body back in shape next year as I've been struggling with my self image a lot the last few months and I think it's really reflected in my blog and my videos - I've started clean(er) eating this week though and I'm gearing myself up to massively cut down on dairy in the new year!

Ahh you noticed him!! He's my favourite little guy, we always shoot Joseph's blog pictures down here and we've filmed a lookbook there too :)
