I have this thing at the moment where I really, really hate my face on every blog picture that seems to be taken. I don't know what's going on but I look so permanently moody and disinterested and like I don't want to be there, which I can assure you couldn't be further from the truth.

I love my blog and I love being a massive poser. So I just thought I'd begin by clearing that up...

These photos were taken when I visited home last month with Joseph, and rediscovered my love for the original grey wall that was the backdrop for the majority of my 2015 blog posts and a fair few of my 2014 ones too. In the spirit of the perfect throwback, I decided to re-imagine this outfit that I loved from last year, and kill two birds with one stone by showcasing this beaut of a coat (that is also one of my Christmas presents this year) from Zara

When you work in 'The City', and especially when you work for a finance/investments company, there is this unspoken pressure to fit in with the sleek city exterior of oozing money and luxury. Now as you can clearly see from this blog, and probably the amount of times I tweet about being broke each month, I'm far from oozing wealth or luxury, and my style doesn't really embrace that either. Therefore I needed a coat that would suit my clothes, but also fit in when I wear it for work - oh and I kinda needed it to be warm too

This bad boy was exactly what I wanted, and so far it's kept me uber toasty when the inclement weather comes to call. I misguidedly convinced myself that winter in the South would be warmer - I was wrong.

Do you have your winter coat sorted yet or are you struggling to find one you like? Pleased it's got colder or praying for the warm weather to come back? Let me know in the comments!

  1. You always look so effortlessly chic, I'm mega jelly whenever I have a wee nosy about your blog! I love the joggers, they look like the comfiest yet stylish thing ever - I'm also a big fan of the jacket, and the combination works so well! And if you ask me, you always look fab in your photos :)

    1. Oh my gosh thank you so much!! I think I've got to the point in the year when I'll just throw on anything comfortable and hope for the best but these joggers are forever a favourite of mine! They flatter my hips so much too which is a must for me!
Awwww thank you! I think I try to go for the sultry look but instead end up somewhere a little south of 'I've just walked past a particularly smelly bin' :')
