FASHION: SHE WAY OUT

Alternative Fashion Blogger

So y'know in my last post when I said I was going to stop naming my blog posts after The 1975 songs?
I lied.

In this look I am, apparently, inadvertently channeling my inner Simpson (it was either yellow me or yellow everything so trust me you've got off lightly here and I just look like I have a mild case of kidney failure) and I won't lie, it's bringing back harrowing memories of the time I thought wearing bright yellow tights to college would be a good idea. The older kids all sang the Simpsons theme tune at me at the bus stop and even my boyfriend laughed and well, the yellow tights never saw daylight again.

Yellow tights.
YELLOW TIGHTS.
Can someone please go back and give my 17 year old self a slap? Sure I was experimenting and being all ~alternative AF but still.
I also wore it with a spotty skirt and a red cardigan. Thank sweet baby Jesus and all that is holy that there is no photo evidence of this sartorially challenged time of my life.

Anyway I digress. Please can we pay the utmost respect and basically lay candles at the alter of this Topshop bodysuit? Because it is basically everything to me right now. Let's break it down ok:

  • It's monochrome
  • It's back less
  • It's all sports luxe and sexy as hell
  • I don't have to wear a bra with it
  • I don't have another point to make here but I'm really enjoying the addition of bullet points to my blog post rn.
So I decided to go full sports chic and team it with my fav ever leather joggers that I got from Topshop like a year ago and basically wore to death for most of 2015 (and parts of 2014 too tbh) and ok so clearly I didn't leave the house on this occasion but this outfit is essentially the embodiment of everything my wardrobe stands for going into spring/summer.

I also want everybody to take a minute to appreciate the beanie which was part of my Valentines present from Michael - you'll see the other part at some point soon when I get my photos back from LFW but lets just say...all the boyfriend points go to him.

Are you a fan of the bodysuit? Let me know how you'd style it, I'd love some more ideas!
