CHEAP MONDAY

Manchester Fashion Blogger

You know those days where you literally have no idea what to wear? When you open your wardrobe, full of hope only to see absolutely nothing that inspires you? This was one of those days. Maybe it explains why I look so goddamn moody, maybe I was trying to be all 'mysterious staring off into the middle distance', maybe I had something in my eye. Who knows?! Who cares?!

The absolute star in this outfit though is the Cheap Monday sweater (no longer available, similar here just not short sleeved...) which I've been looking at for the last 6 weeks just begging for the weather to turn cold enough for me to wear it without slow cooking myself like a tasty lil' stew. Kinda decided to re-imagine an old outfit I loved last year (see that post here) and in the end it turned out to be the absolutely perfect choice for a late August evening in the Northern Quarter, attending the fabulous KoKo Couture blogger event (post coming soon!) with my lovely mother. Teamed with my River Island boots and my new H&M fringed bag that I'm basically all kinds of obsessed with, I was deffo onto a winner.

What items are you absolutely loving this season? Anything you can't wait to wear when the weather gets colder? Let me know, I'm getting so excited for A/W I can basically smell the bonfires already...

PS; I've gone back to the old way I used to format my blog posts - do you guys prefer it this way or when I ramble on for ages and interject it with pictures? Answers on a postcard ;)

  1. Looking beautiful Lucy! Love top and especially the fringed bag! I'm having absolutely no wardrobe inspiration at the moment, need a complete refresh or new perspective!

    1. Thank you babe!
I'm with you on that, those days are becoming more and more frequent for me at the moment and I think it's because since I've moved out I've had much less money available to spend on new clothes so there's barely anything new coming into the wardrobe to spice things up! I need a shopping spree *cries*

It is the greatest sweater basically ever created, like it's all warm and snuggly but at the same time it's short sleeved so you get a nice breeze about the arms too. In other words you can have the best of both worlds (is that a Hannah Montana song because I'm pretty sure it is and now it's stuck in my head)

  3. This is such a lovely post for an inspiring wardrobe day! Love this sweater and the fringed bag, and for this winter I can't wait to get out my berry lipstick and my cropped chunky knits. I think I prefer this format for your posts, but I'd say do it how you want - your blog is your space after all :) x
