'SOMETIMES, I DOUBT YOUR COMMITMENT TO SPARKLE MOTION'

Topshop, Midi Dress, fashion, blogger

I feel like ever since I wore that sassy outfit the other week and blogged about being sassy and feeling sassy and having curves like woah (ok exaggeration but I'm hyper and I don't know why) I've felt more daring about my outfit choices.
I mean I know this isn't quite a midi dress, or well it is but it rides up when you walk so it doesn't look like it, but I would never have even considered even trying it on last year let alone buying it.

I think it's a real testament to how much my confidence has increased since I started blogging that I would have looked twice at it in the shop. I fell in love when I tried it on, although a minor panic ensued in the changing room because I actually got stuck in the dress and couldn't get out.
Seriously.
I was flailing about and everything.
Basically whatever you do, SIZE UP. Even if you're just trying it on, there is NO elastic in that thing at all it is miniscule. No word of a lie it took me 20 minutes to get out of it and I was so red faced and sweaty walking out of the changing room after that I swear people thought I'd been up to no good.

The lovely ladies in Topshop even knocked 20% off for me because the next size up had such bad makeup stains round the collar from all the girls before me who'd got stuck in it too, so I basically couldn't leave it there. It could be dressed up SO nicely in the evening with a classic pair of heels or even a really dainty pair of flats, however I couldn't resist wearing it with my trusty Adidas Superstars. And of course my black jacket because we all know how much I've fallen in love with it.

It's just perfect.
There's a wedding on the horizon and you're all invited.
Buy a hat.

Can you marry a jacket?

(I think I need to sleep).

  3. Embrace those curves girls, the dress looks great on you! So nice of Topshop to give you a discount because of the makeup stains, I usually never buy things that are dirty even if they would wash out easily! x

And yes, we should all love ourselves no matter what the media dictates! I know that I'm thin, and I know that with a bit of cardio and toning again I'll be even happier with my body but equally I'm not going to continue hating myself when I look in the mirror because it's just not healthy. If I have a bit of chub here and there at the moment then hell, that's just what I'm supposed to look like right now, and if it goes in a few months then great and if it doesn't? Well that's no problem either! xo

  11. It's the Donnie Darko reference that just made this post perfect, I'm sorry but it's the best film! Also, I loved the bomber jacket and trainers as a casual option to a dressy dress!
