WHAT I WORE - SHE WAY OUT

And so the lack of colour in my wardrobe continues... I grabbed these photos before heading out for celebratory drinks with my parents last week. My promotion at work was confirmed on Monday, and from the 1st October I am officially the marketing co-ordinator for the company I work for! Definitely a happy Monday morning surprise!

Yet again, my The 1975 t-shirt made an appearance, this time with these beautiful little shorts I picked up from River Island which you can see in my mini workwear haul here, which were a treat to myself for not going overboard on the spending (ahem). They're so comfortable, and I'm currently obsessed with wearing high waisted items as I'm a little larger around my hips and bum and find that with my short legs as well, regular waist trousers, shorts and jeans look ridiculous on me. I couldn't decide what to wear on my feet, but finally settled on these Rocketdog boots that I've had for absolutely years. I bought them to wear in New York over Christmas, and they're so comfortable. I can walk for miles in them, and with their fluffy inner lining they keep your feet so warm - something I didn't really consider in this practically balmy September weather, so I will admit that my feet were way too hot. Perfect winter boots though!

What have you guys been wearing in this weirdly warm weather (yay alliteration!) recently?

  2. Ahh I adore this so much, your shorts are so nice! I find myself leaning towards high waisted clothing more often too, I'm short so I just find them much more flattering.
I'm also really struggling to find things to wear lately, all I want to do is bury myself in layers with ankle boots but it's far too warm :(
Congratulations on the promotion, by the way!

    1. Thank you!! Same here, I have the long body short legs combination, which, when being the grand old height of 5ft2 really isn't the most flattering of body shapes so high waisted things are definitely the most flattering for me!

Agreed! I'm going to go on a massive winter clothes spending spree at the end of this month to make sure I have enough snuggly jumpers for winter. I keep dreaming of halloween and bonfire night and mulled wine and the fire being lit and crisp winter air and it's getting me way too excited for the next few months!!

      Thank you lovely! :) xoxo
